NAPLES Tells PRESIDENT BUSH AND CONGRESS: ‘STOP SACRIFICING OUR SOLDIERS
Hundreds of Events Nationwide Reject Escalation & Urge Responsible Redeployment of American Troops
Naples On Sunday March 18th.

On the 4th anniversary of the invasion into Iraq at 7AM a group of veterans and other volunteers from Veterans for Peace, Military Families Speak Out, Broward for Peace,Social Action Committee of Ft. Myers ,Pax Christi Naples, Naples for Peace,Environmental & Peace Education Center, students from Naples High,St.John Newmanns High and FGCU and others will erect a field of crosses on the beach representing the 3,155 plus American soldiers killed in Iraq.This solemn display to mourn and grieve for our soldiers killed in Iraq will be at the Naples Beach Pier at Gulf Shore Blvd.and 12th ave south.Each of the 750 plus white crosses will bear the name and age of the soldier killed in Iraq,in addition there will be 31 red crosses with each red cross representing 100 American soldiers killed in Iraq.At 1 PM taps will be played as volunteers begin calling out the name and age of each of the 3,155 plus American soldiers killed in Iraq.Michael Calderin candidate for Congress 25th district will lead the calling of names.The display called Arlington South will end at 6PM .
