Events listed are not necessarily endorsed or organized by UFPJ. This calendar is maintained as a resource for the entire peace and justice movement. For further information about any event listed, please click on the event listing and contact the person and/or email address listed as the contact for the specific event.

When looking at events in a particular category, please note that states appear in alphabetical order according to their postal code, not their name. E.g. North Carolina is listed before New Jersey, because "NC" comes before "NJ.

Arlington West Memorial at Santa Monica
Weekly Event , Each Sunday on the north side of the Pier at Santa Monica, California. Setup begins around 6-7am and takes about 5 hours to complete. Take down begins around 4-5pm and takes about 3-4 hours.
Sunday, August 16th 2009 6am
Santa Monica, CA USA

Arlington West is a project of Veterans For Peace. This is a memorial to the human cost of war. We honor and recognize those who've lost their lives in the current incarnation of US foreign policy in Iraq and Afghanistan. Those on the receiving end of those benevolent US policies of "freedom and democracy" are also recognized in this human cost.

Arlington West is NON-PARTISAN and non-sectarian. We do not endorse nor advocate for political parties or for or against any religion. We invite all who embrace our vision and statement of purpose of bringing an end to war, bringing the troops home now and provide for them when they return, and to seek justice for victims of war.
